On Sunday, July 12, Kapellerput will participate in the National Open Beekeeping Days.
Visitors are welcome between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to view the beehives on the estate at Kapellerput. Beekeeper Peer will show you the beehives and will be happy to tell you all about the wonderful world of honeybees. Admission is free.
The Importance of Bees Insects, and bees in particular, are all over the news. Their habitat—and consequently their food supply—is under significant pressure. Bees are indispensable, particularly because, as pollinators, they are vital for many types of fruits and vegetables, as well as for flowers, plants, and trees in our natural environment. It is therefore crucial to make our surroundings as bee-friendly as possible. For example, by planting all kinds of flowering plants where nectar and pollen can be collected.
